Crossroads announces 17th Annual Fashion Photo Contest

Crossroads Trading Company, a Berkeley-based recycled fashion retailer, invites the public to submit photos for its 17th Annual Fashion Photo Contest and vote for their favorites online. Winning photos will show the most attractive presentation of currently fashionable clothing. Photographs will also be evaluated on the basis of originality, creativity, composition and overall quality. Both amateur and professional photographers have had winning luck in the past; last year`s winners included a self-taught photographer who evolved from skateboarding to high fashion photography, a fashion blogger from Sacramento and a 35-year old mother of two. Photographers are welcome to submit up to 3 fashion-themed photographs. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three entrants, with a first prize of $1000, a second prize of $300 and a third prize of $150. A number of honorable mentions will also be chosen with $50 cash prizes awarded. Winners` work may be featured in Crossroads` advertising campaigns and promotions. "Interest in this contest has continued to grow each year and is now truly national," shares Jerry Block, company co-founder and creator of the Fashion Photo Contest.
